We aim to:
- Develop a general experiment method to test the powertrain efficiency of different kinds of electric bicycle at different velocities.
- As a comparison, we also build the powertrain model and do the simulation in AMESim to test the powertrain efficiency of the electric bicycle at different velocities.
- In order to limit the cost of the experiment setup, we figure out the easiest way to implement the experiment by using the simple linkage mechanism to modeling the pedaling behavior of the human being.
- In the long term, we can also test the powertrain efficiency of the electric bicycle in different road conditions, for example, at different road slope angles. (Because we only have one year to do the thesis, we would not do this extra experiment)
